Philip Hawkins become a professional photographer straight from school. After gaining experience in a prominent wedding and portrait studio he soon set up his own business in order to pursue his own creativity and idea’s. In the mid 1990's he got the opportunity to move into commercial and editorial photography, working for some of our most popular magazine titles and publishing houses. However, at the turn of the 21st century, when digital book technology entered the wedding arena, Philip jumped at the chance to go back to his roots photographing weddings and producing some of the most amazing and fashionable books and albums using his creative flair and design skills picked up from his commercial experience.

Today Philip is one of the leading wedding photographers in Edinburgh and a recognised expert in his field. He is the author of well over 100 magazine articles and contributor to several photographic books and publications. The quality of his work is attested to by his impressive client list and the fact that he is one of the UK’s most published photographers.
