There are so many different terms used to describe the variation in wedding photography styles that it can sometimes seem rather confusing. However, in essence they can be brought under the umbrella of two. We have endeavoured here to give you a photographer summary which you may find helpful, however, there is nothing as good as actually looking through some real life wedding albums and books to get a full and accurate picture. Philip is wedding a photographer who is always available to meet up for a chat and browse through some sample albums with you. Reportage wedding photography or photojournalistic is extremely popular with modern weddings. It is all about capturing the atmosphere, ambience and spontaneity of the day and all its key moments. ’Reportage’ and ’photo-journalism’ style are phrases that are often used wildly in wedding photography circles without any real experience behind their use. However, Philip is a genuine photo-journalist and one of the UK’s most published photographers. Therefore he will not dominate the days proceedings as some wedding photographers like to do but for the majority of the time will photograph your day naturally and informally without any unnecessary intrusion allowing you to spend more time enjoying the day with your family and friends.

Classic wedding photography

includes your formal group shots as well as your bride and groom session. Philip uses modern flow posing which allows him to work comfortably and smoothly in order to produce the natural relaxed images for which he is renowned. As he is skilled at getting people organized and at ease quickly and efficiently he puts no limits on the number of formals and for most weddings his average time is around twenty minutes. For bride and groom sets he will shoot a mix of contemporary, romantic and fun images.
